Double bow tall back easy chair, model no.478 from the Ercol Windsor Range, originated by Lucian R. Ercolani. First production recorded in 1962. We’ve kept the original removable fabric that’s been dry cleaned and strengthened. The seat cushion is new upholstery foam and we’ve replaced all of the webbing with new Pirelli straps fastened with traditional Ercol loop and dowel. The original Beech frame has been freshened up and waxed. We’ve kept the original finish on this so it does show signs of its age. High double bow seatback with nine spindles, two tail sticks and block. Upward-curved arms on diagonal supports. Seat cushion on brand new Pirelli rubber webbing. Original blue printed metallic paper label, featuring Ercol recumbent lion. Measuring 103cm in height, 64cm in length, and 73cm in width, this indoor chair is fully restored and in excellent condition.
